Oklahoma's Tyler Fields picked up golf not too long ago. But this year, he downloaded GolfN, played a few rounds, and put every point earned in the app towards one sweepstakes that caught his eye.
A few weeks later, the Oklahoma golfer was at Cobra Golf Headquarters in Carlsbad, California, sporting all-new Puma gear, with GolfN CEO Jared Phillips there to meet him.
"I downloaded GolfN and played a couple of rounds," said Tyler. "They had this Cobra experience on there, and I put all the points I had on it. I don't think I could have even dreamed of possibly having this experience without this sweepstakes."
Tyler had amassed 790 points through GolfN activity and put them all into the sweepstakes. After over 220,000 entries were entered during the duration of the sweeps, he had a 0.35% chance to win. Nevertheless, Tyler came out the lucky winner.
With GolfN, anyone has a chance to win. We brought the cameras along to his half-day tour fitting experience in Carlsbad, California. Want to see how the game's greatest brands dial in their equipment for pros and amateurs alike? Check it out:
Cobra Golf Headquarters isn't just a brand campus, it's one of the most advanced custom fitting facilities in the game. Tyler's fitting was led by Perry Dickey, Cobra Golf's Custom Fitting Specialist, across a three-hour full-bag session.
Custom club fitting at this level isn't a rack demo with a launch monitor nearby. Perry built the entire session around Tyler's swing data, starting from the ground up.
The long game fitting ran on the Foresight GC Quad system — the same technology used in professional tour fitting environments. Ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, shot dispersion, and club delivery data were all tracked and analyzed to identify the exact head and shaft combinations for Tyler's swing. Driver, fairway metals, hybrids, irons, wedges — every club in the bag evaluated individually.
Once the bag was dialed, the session moved to the SAM Putt Lab, widely regarded as the gold standard in putting stroke analysis. Cobra's Sam Lusty evaluated Tyler's face control, stroke path, tempo, and impact consistency to match him with the right putter setup for his natural mechanics. It's the same analysis available to tour-level players, applied to a golfer who earned his way there through the GolfN app.
The result: up to fourteen custom-fitted Cobra clubs, spec'd to a single swing.
