July GolfN Town Hall Recap
On July 30th, the GolfN community gathered in our Discord for the latest Town Hall, where our leaders, Jared and Koz, shared the latest updates and insights. If you missed it, here’s a detailed recap that brings you up to speed and connects you with our ongoing journey.
Continuing Our Mission: Caching Update
At GolfN, our mission has always been to blend the tradition of golf with cutting-edge technology, creating an experience that’s both rewarding and innovative. Our latest progress in the Axiom Portal is a testament to this vision. As of July 30th, 26% of possible GolfN collectible cards have been cached, driving over 7,000 SOL in trading volume since the pack drop.
Caching your sets in the Axiom Portal isn’t just a step—it's your gateway to earning Axiom points, which will soon be convertible to GOLF tokens. This is a unique opportunity to participate in the future of golf and shape it actively. For those still navigating this process, we've prepared a comprehensive video guide to help you maximize your rewards.
Visit the Axiom Caching Portal today to see which clubs you need to complete and cache your set. Let’s continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible together.
Expanding the GolfN Family: Team Growth
We’re thrilled to announce that our team is growing and bringing fresh energy and expertise to GolfN. Brandon Tucker, who many of you may recognize from his decade at Golf Channel and his recent work with Marinade Finance, has joined us as a lead for content and communications. His deep understanding of golf and Web3 makes him a perfect fit for our community.
Austin Langlinais has also joined GolfN as a data scientist. Austin brings his expertise in managing $3 billion in textiles spending on commodities and will guide GolfN's data-backed decision-making to plan and operate effectively.
Additionally, Jeremy Kirby is our new Head of Marketing. Kirby has extensive experience as an entrepreneur in marketing communications and new business development, previously steering Dugout Creative, and is ready to propel GolfN's marketing to new heights.
We’re also proud to welcome Caitlin Cook, who brings her growth expertise from Moonwalk Fitness to our advisory team. With these additions, we’re more equipped to create content that educates, engages, and empowers our community.
The Future of GolfN: App and Merch Updates
Our GolfN app, currently in closed beta on TestFlight, is rapidly evolving. Tested on courses from California to Scotland, the app’s GPS functionality performs excellently, and the map designs receive rave reviews. With numerous updates already rolled out, we’re gearing up for the next significant phase: integrating the NFT-collectible component.
All GolfN collectible holders will gain access to the upcoming beta phase, which is expected to launch in Q4. We can’t wait to hear your feedback and see how you use the app to enhance your golfing experience.
Meanwhile, our pro shop is also coming together nicely. We’re curating a collection of exclusive merch that reflects GolfN’s unique blend of tradition and innovation. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming soon:
Celebrating Our Community: Global Engagement
Our community isn’t just participating; you’re leading the way. Right after the AMA, the team jetted to Scotland to co-sponsor and participate in Solana Superteam UK’s BlockStart Conference. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with global leaders in blockchain and, of course, to hit the links.
We’re excited to continue our journey with you at upcoming events like Solana’s Breakpoint Conference in Singapore and the Solana Scramble in Salt Lake City during Permissionless in October. We’ll be there, and we hope to see some of you joining us as we compete with some of crypto’s best teams.
Strategic Insights: AMA Q&A
During the AMA, an important question was raised regarding the caching and uncaching mechanics in the Axiom Portal. Here’s what you need to know to maximize your level and progress:
Strategic Tip: If you uncache a set, you risk losing your level. To avoid this, your level drops if your last action before the epoch ends is an uncaching action. However, you can retain your level if you cache another set immediately after uncaching. The key is ensuring your last action is caching before the epoch closes. Feedback on this logic has been shared with the Axiom team, and any updates will be promptly communicated.
This is one of the many strategic decisions you’ll make on your GolfN journey. We encourage you to share your strategies and experiences with the community—together, we’re all learning and growing.
That’s a wrap for this month’s AMA! Your passion and engagement inspire us continuously. Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, keep the conversation going in our community channels. Your voice is what makes GolfN genuinely unique.
