Scoring

Condor

An extraordinarily rare score of four strokes under par on a single hole.

What does condor mean in golf?

A condor is the rarest scoring achievement in golf. It can theoretically occur as a hole-in-one on a par-5, though this has only been documented a handful of times in recorded golf history. It requires either an extremely long drive that reaches a short par-5 green, or a lucky bounce and roll that carries the ball into the cup. Some golf historians also count a score of 2 on a par-6 as a condor.
