Draw

A controlled shot that curves gently from right to left for right-handed golfers.

What does draw mean in golf?

A draw is produced when the clubface is slightly closed relative to the swing path at impact, imparting right-to-left sidespin on the ball. Many golfers prefer a draw because it typically produces a lower, more penetrating ball flight with additional roll, adding distance. The draw is considered one of the more desirable shot shapes in golf and is the stock shot of many professional players.
